Colonial Revival style house originally built for Myrtle G. Painter by Nicholson Brothers in 1939. Painter was employed by the Pacific Conference of Seventh Day Adventists as a stenographer. Located at 1537 North Columbus Avenue in the historic Brockmont neighborhood of Glendale, California.

Architect Frederick Louis Rohrig originally designed the house in the Shingle style in 1888. In 1905, architects Sumner Hunt and Elmer Grey changed the style dramatically by removing a tower and streamlining the facade, which resulted in its current Colonial Revival style.

Architect E. Brett of the Littleton Company designed the Colonial Revival style house for J.S. Gibson in 1923. Located at 1041 Prospect Boulevard in the Prospect Historic District of Pasadena, California. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 7, 1983.
