Architect Pierre Koenig designed the Modernist style house for Robert and Alice Beagles in 1963.The 4-bedroom, 3-bath home in 2.467 sf is currently (August 2022) listed for sale for $4.5M and described in part as "Once again, as with Case Study House #22, the Stahl House, the architect demonstrates his appetite for challenging hillside sites with a rigorous, highly intellectual approach to design and a mastery of concrete, glass and steel.

One of only two Koenig houses sided with stucco, as opposed to steel decking, this home is unique, and a living testament to the lasting philosophy of Less is More. Using an inverted plan, the street-level entrance leads directly to the second floor, with public spaces oriented around a central two-story core, anchored by a wood-burning fireplace at the heart of the home.

Full-height glass walls on the main elevations capitalize on the tremendous views, and every room connects directly to the exterior with large sliding doors, including an outdoor dining area next to the kitchen, and a sun deck off the lower-level living room. All original finishes remain intact, with exposed structural steel, book-matched cabinetry, hardwood floors, and vintage Formica".
