Architect Charles E. Shattuck designed the Craftsman style house for organist John B. Morrell in 1906. The house was slated for demolition in 1988, preserving the house was instrumental in establishing the Highland Park Historic Overlay Zone. Sadly, the house is in a very poor state as can be seen in the photo. Designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument (No. 379 in 1988.
