Located between the towns of Palmdale and Santa Clarita, California, the Vasquez Rocks is 932-acre park of other-worldly rock formations exposed by dramatic uplift activity along the San Andreas Fault. The area was home to the Tataviam people, a Native American group that lived here long before the Spanish arrived. The park was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a result of its importance in American prehistory.

The park is open to the public and there is not admission fee. We were able park very close to the rocks and enjoy the scenery. Entrance to the park is located at 10700 Escondido Canyon Rd, Agua Dulce, California. There is a visitors center at the entrance.
