Gruen Associates Architects designed the futuristic style Vasquez Rocks Nature and Interpretative Center in 2012. The design compliments the natural and otherworldly landscape of the Vasquez Rocks, rock formations formed by rapid erosion during a dramatic uplift in the San Andreas Fault, millions of years ago.
