Architect Kurt Meyer-Radon designed the Mediterranean Revival style as a speculative venture for builder-developer Harry Harlan Belden (1883-1952) in 1928. German-born architect Kurt Meyer-Radon emigrated to the United States in 1923, settling with his family in Eagle Rock. Among his best known projects are the Sovereign Hotel-Apartments in Santa Monica and the Seely Studios Building in Glendale, California.
