Italian Architect Joaquín Toesca designed the Neoclassical style La Moneda Palace, the seat of the President of the Republic of Chile beginning in 1784. The building which also houses the offices of three cabinet ministers: Interior, General Secretariat of the Presidency and General Secretariat of the Government opened in 1805. The building occupies an entire block in downtown Santiago, Chile.
