Architect Michael Sterm Jr., best known for designing prominent hotels on the Los Vegas Strip also designed hundreds of tract homes in the San Fernando Valley including approximately four hundred homes between 1955 and 1956 in the Encino Village subdivision. To create variety, Stern offered four different templates:, traditional, ranch, transitional and modern.
