San Francisco-based architects Bob Anshen and Steve Allen designed the Modernist style home located in the Fairhaven Tract, one of three neighborhoods developed by Joseph L. Eichler (1900-1974) in Orange County, California. Houses in the development reflect the growing prosperity and increased size of typical Baby Boomer families of the 1960s. The firm was one of two selected by Eichler (the other was A. Quincy Jones Jr. and Frederick Emmons).
There are a total of 350 properties in the three Eichler communities in Orange, California (the others are Fairhills and Fairmeadow). They are currently in the process of seeking historic designation.
