The Spanish Colonial Revival style house was designed by architects Samuel Tilden Norton and Frederick H. Wallis as a home for Norton and his wife Esther Groedel whom he had married in New York on October 17, 1904. The firm Norton & Wallis received many important commissions during their partnership including the Greek Theater in Griffith Park and the Temple Sinai East (now the Korean Philadelphia Presbyterian Church). Norton also collaborated with architects David Allison and Abram Edelman on the design of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple dedicated in 1929.

The Norton House is located at 66 Fremont Place in the historic Windsor Square neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Please do not use this image in any media without my permission. © All rights reserved.
