Architect A. Godfrey Bailey designed the Colonial Revival style house for LeRoy C. McCann in 1937. McCann was born in Michigan on April 16, 1894. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I, attaining the rank of sergeant. He died on July 4, 1968 and was buried at Los Angeles National Cemetery.
