Architect Don Uhl designed the Mediterranean Revival style house for bulding contractor Victor Marks (Marks & Gage) as a speculative venture in 1928. Moviegoers will be familiar with the facade as the home featured in the movie, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?; the 1962 thriller starring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, about an aging actress who holds her paraplegic sister captive in an old Hollywood mansion.
The house is located at 172 South McCadden Place in the historic Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Please do not use this image in any media without my permission. © All rights reserved.
