The Rajagopal family of distinguished writers and educators commissioned architect Richard Neutra to expand an existing Spanish bungalow with a second story addition in 1934. In 1994, they commissioned architect Paul Sterling Hoag to convert the garage into the expressive unit on the right. The International style duplex is located at 2126 North Gower Street; the Hoag-designed unit is located at 2122 North Gower Street in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
