A. Quincy Jones and Frederick E. Emmons & Associates designed the mid-century modern style house as part of a mini subdivision of five homes known as Royal Homes built by the Shadow Hills Building Company in 1961. The house was also known as the Good Housekeeping Model Home. Located at 4956 Calvin Avenue in the Tarzana neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
