Architect Anthony L. Rogelmair designed the Italianate Revival style house for Electrical Contractor James M. Mullins in 1924. The architect was born Antoine Laurent Rogelmair in Bucharest, Romania on February 17, 1880. He immigrated to the Unites States, arriving at Ellis Island on September 22, 1913. He died on March 15, 1963. By 1930, the house was owned by English-born James Barham and his wife, Juliette H. Barham and their two year-old daughter, Juliette. In the 1960s, the home was occupied by Nick and Irene Stiny and their sons George, Mike and Nick. Nick was a member of the Los Feliz Improvement Association Board of Directors and ran for the Los Angeles City Council in 1959. Irene was President of the Franklin Avenue Elementary School PTA in 1954. In 1956, she was crowned Mrs. Los Feliz and Mrs. Los Angeles. The Stiny family lived in the house until 1973.
