Architect Albert P. Martin designed the house for his family in 1952. The house was recently (March 2014) listed for sale for $1,595,000 and described in "Curbed L.A." as "On the market for the first time in more than 50 years, this highly textural time capsule overlooking the Silver Lake Reservoir was designed by architect Al Martin in 1953. Sited on a 9,315-square-foot hillside lot, it has three bedrooms, three baths, an office, formal living and dining rooms, a workshop, a wraparound deck, and two-car garage. The 2,463-square-foot modern's features include cork floors, acoustic tile ceilings (which, it must be said, have not aged gracefully), walls of glass, two fireplaces, built-in furniture, and vintage appliances and light fixtures".
