A unique place, an ancient country house of the seventeenth century, prestigious residence of the Doge Giustiniani.
The Villa Giustinian, typical Venetian Villa qualified by a solemn main body and two lateral side, is now owned by Ornella Molon Traverso.

The beautiful and impressive park of Villa Giustinian extends for a good 35,000 square meters. A concentration of traditions and culture, a green mirror of ancient and modern splendour, the park is often the theatre for receptions and parties, where the Veneto Villa acts as a beautiful surround.

In this part of the story is passed with a capital S. The area to the south-east of Italy, across the plains of the Piave, has fertile soil grease, good for the screws, but also the pedigree of noble places, made so by men and events that have left deep furrows in the memory. That must be why Ornella Molon Traverso, when he decided in 1982 to devote his life to wine, he chose as the site of his cellar a Venetian villa, former residence of the Doge Giustiniani in the seventeenth century. And just to get it right, the address is Via Risorgimento …
With such a wealth of history must necessarily good wine. Ornella Molon has believed from the beginning of its activity: «I was so fascinated by this profession in short I hopelessly infected my husband Giancarlo, that builder has dropped the brick to devote himself body and soul to the screws».

Half an hour away from Venice, in the middle of the lagoon, there is the wonderful island of Burano, well-known for the art of lace and its colourful houses inhabitated by fishermen. Here, at the beginning of the 20th century, Romano Barbaro opened a restaurant for the inhabitants of the island and the first tourists.

In 1910 the first painters landed at the island and were fascinated by the magic atmosphere of this place. Among the first artists there were Gino Rossi, umberto Moggioli, Pio Semeghini, Arturo Martini, Luigi Scopnich, that were important artists and men of letters who loved Burano met. In fact, in a short time, the restaurant was filled with paintings, which, still now, are as thickly hung at the walls as stamps on the pages of an album.

Beauty and Serenity in Tyrol (Austria)

Only 3 km in the south east of Lienz (Austria), there is Tristach, located at the foot of the majestic mountains of the Lienz Dolomites. The emblem of the village, which has already been inhabited in Bronze Age, depicts a lion with scythe on red background. No, there have never been lions in the area… but the emblem is the one of the Lords of Erenberg, who have owned a castle in this area.

Those who seek relaxation and recreation are at the right place! Various hiking and walking paths are ready to be explored. One of the most popular hiking paths is the historic path, starting at the “Tristacher Tratte” where there is a wayside shrine, which has been built in 1636 AD as plague column. Right next to this column you can see a majestic linden tree that has been planted in 1879 AD on the occasion of the wedding of the Emperor Franz Josef I and the Empress Elizabeth. Would you like to explore the mountains, but you are not courageous enough? The alpine school takes remedial actions and shows you the mountains in summer in all their glory.

Winter in Tristach stands for skiing, ice skating and sledding. The skiing area Lienzer Bergbahnen includes the two skiing areas Zettersfeld and Hochstein, offering 37 km of ski slopes and 12 lift facilities. Lake Tristach, however, transforms in winter into one huge ice rink. But better to ask first if the sheet of ice is thick enough! Another highlight is the natural toboggan run Dolomites, which features a lenght of about 7.5 km. And in case one year there should be no snow, this run in covered by artifical snow.
