Dopo 3 ore di sonno è già l'ora di alzarsi per vedere l'alba. Sopra Barga si vede benissimo Giove quando è ancora ora blu. Appena inizia a diventare tutto più dorato spuntano dei bellissimi raggi e il sole sbuca.

After a three hours sleep, it's time to wake up and shoot the landscape during the sunrise.
In the last minutes of blue hour you can spot Jupiter. But soon the sky and the light get warmer and the Sun is no more hiding behind the mountains. Also some beautiful "god rays" showed up.

Ecco il momento che aspettato da mesi, la Via Lattea spunta dietro l'arco. Io e Andrea con molta pazienza proviamo qualche inquadratura ed esposizioni. Dopo 2 ore si va a letto soddisfatti. L'arco è stato "dipinto" usando un flash con trigger radio, posto dietro alle rocce in primissimo piano.
La foto finale è la fusione di due esposizioni diverse, entrambe a f/5.6 ma quella per il cielo è di 1 minuto a iso 1600 mentre l'arco è ad 800 iso, 10 secondi, giusto il tempo per sparare la luce e non avere troppo rumore.

The long awaited moment: the Milky Way pops up over the arch. Andrea and I try to take some shots, with different angles, exposure times and a lot of patience. After two hours it's time to go to sleep confident with the shots taken. The arch has been "light painted" with a simple hot shoe flash radio triggered. The final picture is a two exposures-composite image. Both shot at f/5.6, the sky is a 1 minute exposure at iso 1600 while the arch is a 10 seconds exposure at iso 800: the right time to have it light painted enough and not to have too much digital noise.
