I recently uploaded sixteen or so new winter images on my website. This first image is from January's impressive outbreak of deep cold and snow here in the Pacific Northwest. The cold snap endured for about a week and temperatures didn't get out of the teens for a few days out in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. Perfect recipe for winter waterfall photography. Not sure I've ever seen Horsetail Falls look this incredible.

In honor of the blast of cold, snow, and wind Portland is experiencing this morning I wanted to post something wintry. I had a difficult time deciding on an image until I came across this one captured at Mount Rainier alongside my friend Alex Noriega. The light and snow textures were pretty special that morning. I just remember standing on a ridge above this basin and spending what seemed like hours picking out little scenes and plays on light such as this one. Anyway, hope everyone's doing well and here's to longer days!

Hey everyone -- I just uploaded a batch of about thirty new images on my website. All of the images were captured this past Summer and Fall and lean heavily on two of my favorite places on Earth: Olympic and Mount Rainier National Parks. The image featured in this post is from a location in southern Washington which I've grown fond of over the past two years. Every time I visit it shows me more. Beyond the Pacific Northwest there are a smattering of images from Tanzania. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the results! Thanks for checking them out
