I needed to test my tweaked autoKAPduino rig with some fresh parts in it.
What better place to test it around the corner and revisit the wonderful Tasmantoren?
The rig did well and so did the ITW Triton.
Who had a tough time in very gusty wind.
As an extra I got one of the best light shows of the year.
Woohoo!

Suburbia 3.0
We have this pretty fresh suburb in Groningen called Reitdiephaven.
It is very colorful and people live next to the water.
It looks very much like a stage set or a theme parc to me. :)

Doing a minor dusk KAP session while helping out a friend that started playing with a rokkaku and an AuRiCo rig.
We arrived pretty late at the site but the colors of the sky turned out really nice. :)
You can even see some localized rain in the distance but that did not reach us.
This is one of my favorite spots to fly a kite.
A previous series on this location can be found here:

'Daniel Libeskind`s plan for the city markings of Groningen is an adventurous approach to the theme of non-existent reality. In it he subsumes the past, the present and the future of the city of Groningen. «The Books of Groningen» refer to the cultural, social, political and economic process that the city has undergone since its origins and which is continued in the lives of the inhabitants. «The Books» comprise a text, according to Libeskind "the historical text, read and written by the citizens of the once and yet-to-be City, permanently remarking the boundaries of Groningen in time and space.'
'After experimenting with several abstract studies, William Forsythe had the idea of a canal which is more then 400 metres long and contains 27 pillars.
A metal arm connected to the pillars pulls a row of trees on the bank and bends them out of shape as they grow.
Shipbuilders in Groningen used similar techniques to bend planks of wood to the right shape.
The sides of the canal are lined with an undulating wall at various heights wich is covered with vegetation.
It represents the way in wich mankind has made changes to the natural world for centuries in order to survive.'

Ameland is a great Island to go to with kids.
I had some of the best times of my youth on this Island.
I had two chances to do some KAPing during a hit-and-run-weekend with my little family.
How I love the PFK for doing great in the, sometimes fierce, sea wind.
