Inside the cab of 52 4867, a fret train locomotive built in 1943. I didn't get to ask, so I am afraid I have no clue what these valves operate.
Today was the 15. Frankfurter Tag der Verkehrsgeschichte (Frankfurt day of Transportation History, www.hsf-ffm.de/index.php?id=190), an event organized by various enthusiasts associations and an occasion to see (and get rides on) steam trains, old buses and tramways as well as to visit the workshop. And since we are in Germany, a couple of beers and sausages are an absolute must. Great day, looking forwards to the next.
