Placement on the map is approximative only - after all Star Trek was where you had to be to get GPS back when the SRT 101 was built, and my memory is not that precise either. In any case, yet another example of the oranges ubiquitous in Lisbon.

" - We would be in full control of this pod. It would go up like a cannonball and come down like a - u h - a cannonball, splashing down into the water of the ocean with a parachute to spare life of the specimen inside.
- Spacemen!?
- Specimen!
- Well, what kind of "Spe-ci-men"?
- A tough one! "

From Philip Kaufman's movie "The Right Stuff"

Many of Lisbon's glass containers are painted over, in quite interesting and diverse ways. If I had more time there, it would be a nice project to document them somehow.

That was an old roll of Sensia lying around in the cupboard at my parents. I figured sunny Lisbon and its beautiful colors would be a good place to use it, overexposed by 1 stop considering film's age, and was not disappointed. Considering the age of that roll, I was afraid I might get some very lomographic looking results but colors ended up looking fantastic and very true to life. Besides, slides have a sort of magic to them: you get to the the image right in the piece of film where it was captured. Pity slides film is so darn expensive...

This one I could easily localize with precision thanks to the sign at the door, which turns out to be for Correia Afonso, Archer & Associados Sociedade de Advogados.

Another ubiquitous fixture in Lisbon (an in Portugal in general, based on a highly representative sample of two cities): grilled chessnuts.
