At the Frankfurt Carnival last winter, the creature in the background is a reproduction of one of the Iguanodon statues Richard Owen had built in Crystal Park. Go figure...

Pentax Spotmatic F and Takumar 55mm f/2, Agfa Vista Plus 200 developped using the Rollei Digibase C41 kit, development at 37°C for 3' 30", and 1 minute more than instructions recommendations for bleaching and fixing. It did work much better, maybe the development time given in the instructions for 25°C is just too short?

Gesundheit ;)
The fortification wall on top of the Altkönig hill looking over Frankfurt. I went there with my son Hadrian on Wednesday - great weather, bilberries and no one around, it was lovely.

This picture was made with a Franzis TLR camera, the local avatar of the Gakkenflex. f/11-sih, 1/125th-ish, focussing is possible yet far from easy in the subpar viewfinder, and the lens is a single piece of low quality plastic, but it does take picture. I built it together with Hadrian last year, and that's how that whole film phase started with me :) . Agfa Vista Plus 200 developed with the Rollei C-41 kit at 100°F according to instructions.

Inside the ring wall on top of the Altkönig last wednesday...

This picture was made with a Franzis TLR camera, the local avatar of the Gakkenflex. Agfa Vista Plus 200 developed with the Rollei C-41 kit at 100°F according to instructions.

By the way, a couple of observations for those interested in that toy camera:
- just one turn of the rewind know is enough to shift film by one frame. At least on ours, the "frame counter" doesn't work at all, kits teeth are simply too short and fail to catch the perforations well enough.
- it was a very bright day, so I figured ISO 200 should be more than enough with a supposedly f/11 - 1/125th second camera. Well, it is not. The manufacturer recommends using ISO 400 film and they are right. Where all that light gets lost I have no idea... anyways, it's kind of fun to work with this camera, so I guess one of these days I'll take it for a round with a roll of Fomapan 400.
