The Nature Conservancy's Blowing Rocks Preserve offers something one might not expect in Florida. Florida is known for its straight stretches of sandy beaches lined with hotels and condominiums. It's not known for rocky beaches resembling the lava rock lined beaches of Hawaii and other volcanic islands.
However, there are areas that offer something close to it in Florida. One is the Blowing Rocks Preserve, which is limited in its operating hours to 9 am - 4:30 pm. However, yhat is not a good thing for sunrise or sunset photography ... www.danielnovakphoto.com/blog

SInce I did not find this waterfall listed anywhere at all, let alone with a name, and Lower B from my previous post just did not have the right sound to it, I decided to name this waterfall myself. Yes, I know, not too original, but since the Emery Falls are couple hundred feet up the stream Lower Emery Falls seemed to be the right choice. Let's see if this catches on and maps and guides start showing this one over the next 10 years or so with this name. If not, I won't mind.

This version is of the bridge from the north and before the illumination kicked in, ... well, the lamps were already on but not the colored LED lights you can see on the liked photo below. It was another beautiful sunset. Lately, it's one great sunset after another. The haze and clouds of the day just always give way to this gorgeous light show. I wish it never ended!

I realize it's no longer fall but I have had this post sequenced since October. Then I always got excited about some new photographs and pushed it a week, and another, and another. In fact, the gorgeous Rose River Falls hike has remained unfinished since 2019! I hope you enjoy the burst of color in our mostly gray world ... #etbtsy

I may not enjoy getting up early but I do enjoy arriving at my chosen destination before sunrise and more importantly before other people. Having a beautiful slice of our world just to myself feels great and provides a great counterbalance to the hustle and bustle of our lives. And if it is still so dark that pulling out a camera is pointless ... #etbtsy
