Irish Soldiers in Modern Ireland are Volunteers trained to the highest standard and at some stage in their service they volunteer for Un Peace keeping duties and have served with distinction no matter where they have had to deploy,one of my friends in the Army has served on Un Duties in 4 different countries and has just returned from Chad .and wants to go out again .I salute him and all the young lads .sorry Soldiers. like him for they have served their country well . i like so many others hope that young men like the one above in Portrait never have to fire a shot .but if they have to they will
