Sunrise at Salford Quays looking towards The Lowry Theatre on Pier 8.

Salford Quays is an area of Salford, (surprisingly), Greater Manchester, near the end of the Manchester Ship Canal. It became one of the first and largest urban regeneration projects in the United Kingdom following the closure of the Manchester Docks in 1982.
The Lowry theatre opened in 2000 and houses the Lyric and Quays theatre along with a collection of artistic work by that famous Mancunian painter who painted those stick figures whose name currently escapes me.

The Quays is also home to the Imperial War Museum North and is the northern home of the BBC at Media City. At the right of the image is the Salford Quays Millenium footbridge spanning the Manchester Ship Canal. It will rise 18m to allow larger vessels to pass.

So, in the last upload I promised a radically different piece of music and for those who follow the music videos I attach to my images I don't think any of you would expect anything by this 'artist'.
Look at the picture of that sunrise, imagine yourself on a beach, somewhere a little more glamorous than Salford Quays, soft white sand, clear turquoise waters gently lapping whilst you sip your favourite cocktail be it a Martini, Caipirinha or Margarita and you're having a wonderful holiday. Hang on, this is sunrise, is that too early for a cocktail? Is any time too early for a cocktail? But then you've probably not been to bed yet so that's ok!
If you want to sing along to the chorus, you don't need to know the words, just think of anything that rhymes with the title such as chiquito, burrito, mojito.
And what does this have to do with Salford Quays? Absolutely nothing, but who cares, it's a happy tune!
