Whitby Abbey's biggest and brightest event of the year returns this October promising to be even more illuminating for 2016! As darkness descends on the Whitby headland the dramatic abbey ruins which inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula come to life through spectacular illuminations and live performances.

Explore the gothic splendour through a changing light display and encounter costumed characters introducing the darker side of the abbey's past with tales of grave robbing and witch trials. No visit to Whitby Abbey is complete without a sighting of Dracula himself and each night visitors will be treated to a special performance of the legendary tale, moving throughout the ruins as the story unfolds against this unique backdrop.
