A rare original DC-3A built on October 25th 1937, departing IWM Duxford to Normandy. She was the 119th DC-3 to roll off the production line. Serving with Eastern Airlines until 1942, the USAAF until 1944, before returning back to Eastern Airlines. She was retired in 1988 after further flying with Trans-Texas Airlines and Provincetown Boston Airlines. Restored back to flight in 2006, she has accumulated over 96,000 hours flight time, setting a new record every time she flies. It is assumed that this aircraft is the oldest aircraft to cross the Atlantic under its own power when on route to Europe for the Daks over Normandy events to celebrate 75th Anniversary of D-Day. -05/06/2019

Dakota Norway C-53D returning to Duxford with what turned out to be a double engine failure. On departure, the crew noticed a drop in oil pressure on the Number 1 engine which was shut down and feathered. Upon landing, the crew noticed a lot of oil leaking from the Number 2 engine which resulted in a shutdown of the second engine whilst still on the landing roll. The aircraft coasted down half the runway before taking the grass and skidding to a halt. Great airman-ship from the crew meant no injuries to those onboard and no serious damage to the aircraft. The aircraft was however, unable to take part in the mass formation flight and parachute drop from Duxford to Normandy the following day. -04/06/2019
