More supermoon fun, the day after the eclipse the moon lined up nicely with the SF Bay Bridge. Not only was the moon in the right location, but the ever changing lights on the bridge sequenced to this pattern that worked perfectly. Often it has a wave effect traveling across the span which would not have worked so well.
We were at a Design Night thing listening to the guy in charge of "Stranger Things" special effects tell us how he did it, but, poor guy, everybody was taking pictures of this scene through the window.

Another location, probably more recognizable, that featured in Hitchcock's Birds (1962). It was the schoolhouse in the movie, and it really was once. Here is one of the scenes from the movie.
The land was donated by Sheriff Potter in 1872 for a public school, and classes started in the Autumn of 1873. Hitchcock filmed the movie in 1962, and the building lay abandoned and condemned until a family bought it in 1969, and 3 generations on, they still live there now.
Sadly, I only had my cell phone... but still, it was worth a snap and share.
