… one of the very few remaining busts of Caius Julius Caesar, born in the Subura in July 100 BCE, died on the Ides of March 44 BCE in the Theatrum Pompeii, Campus Martius.
It was excavated from the Rhône river near Arles, formerly Arelate, Gallia Narbonensis, in September 2007 and is now exhibited in the Musée de l’Arles antique.
