Had ourselves a damn fine 17 hours at the Madonna inn this weekend.

Red rooms, infinity pools, swimsuits, short hair, lights...oh, the lights we played with, leather, pumpkin cookies, orange cupcakes, overpriced steak, wine in goblets.

Could've done a lot worse, I tell you what.

Well, not technically insomnia. I went to sleep at 930, I woke up at 1am.

A solid 4 hours of sleep. And I can already feel it pulling me back. Back to weird dreams of awkward conversations with comic book artists about computer programming, strange dates broadcast on the internet, finding margaritas in the bathroom, shoot outs with ghosts.

Can't decide if I love or hate my dreams...

So we made her hardcore.

Drove her to Westwood, got her hair did, got her face made up, brought her back home, shined a wicked bright light in her face, snapped off some shots.

In between all that there were donuts, cookies, jokes about pregnancy, conversations about marriage, about kids, about music, sitting in traffic avoiding uncomfortable silences with conversation, a spot of rain, a loss of energy, a second wind, a pool, an uncomfortable silence.

In other words, lots of fun.
