As usual, yet taking me completely by surprise, it was the last shots of the day that ended up being some of the best. maybe it was the fact that the sun had finally decided to come out and grace us with some light & heat, maybe it was the change of scenery from a nice backyard to an amazing field where the dogs ran free and men dared not sully. or something.

Fine, i'm addicted. i cannot go a single day without posting a photo. happy now?

i don't even really have a story to tell, i just wanted to share. this is olivia. she, on a whim, went and got a severe hair cut, taking off everything below her ears.

this is what happens when you have a lot of time on your hands, and not enough hobbies to occupy yourself.

says the guy with so many hobbies he barely knows what to do with himself.

and yet, i've got no plans for the weekend, which, most of the time, perfectly fine, 'cept for the fact that i've been jampacking my weekends so often lately, i feel adrift without an event, or a photo shoot, or a party, or a lunch.

good thing i've already cut all my hair off.

Welcome to my new feature: Self-Absorbed Saturday. Not quite as cool a title as Way Way Back Machine Weekend, but gimme a break. I worked all night thinking of this title.

This is me taken by my new polaroid 240 land camera, bought primarily for its two close-up lenses. which apparently, according to my girlfriend, make my face look fat.

So now i can add to my collection a "you should lose weight" camera.

Great, now i've got a camera that's just like my mom.

Hawks. She said that the sound we heard was hawks, and that if you look up at just the right time you can actually see them flying around.

The only wildlife I usually encounter are skunks. The occasional deer. And the odd pack of coyote at four in the morning, early enough they can't quite decide if it's worth it to eat me.

But around Kimmy's house, there are hawks. Real birds of prey, real animals that hunt and kill. Something affirming about things that kill. Weird, but true.
