It's hard to believe this was four years ago. The pandemic curtailing my work and making the passage of time feel a little odd. It was a great shoot with a wonderful team of people, including my assistant helping to light the shot with a reflector as natural light was vital for all of the shots in the brief. Enjoy!

Shot on location using natural light only with reflectors and to strict constraints on framing and cropping. The purpose was to capture still 'candid' emotions during interview for the campaign. Spontaneous street portrait of Helena Carter, presenter and reporter for ITV, captured in Brighton, England, in February 2019. Naturally I took spontaneous portraits of the team for them in between locations. This was a lighting test for a backlit shot as all images needed to be natural light with reflector only in order for consistency.
Enjoy this black and white re-edit as I remember working with an awesome team of professionals on an advertising campaign for an international advertising agency. I was working closely with Helena on the shoot in London, Manchester and Brighton over three days and can't believe that this was three years ago!

Previously unpublished candid shot taken while enjoying a quick coffee break before an exhausting day-long photoshoot in Brighton in February 2019. I just loved the headphones as she walked by the guitar playing busker. Shot one-handed so I didn't spill my coffee. Enjoy!
A musical side note: this street is where the Guitar Amp and Keyboard centre is where I ordered my first full 88 note weighted key synth from many years ago despite living hundreds of miles away. It was cool to see the place in the flesh and my Korg N1 lives and breathes to this day :D
