Some deliberately creepy portraiture from my 2014 Halloween location shoot in East Kilbride, Scotland. My friend Julie wearing some creepy make-up and staring scarily into the barrel of the lens. Off camera flash and low ISO used to create the harsh contrast lighting.
Sadly I was unable to get out and do a special Halloween shoot this year despite having a wealth of ideas planned, I will put them to good use next year for sure! Best viewed large.

Posed street portrait taken on location in East Kilbride, Scotland, with my model Julie while we were out on a Halloween photo-shoot (hence the sullen make-up). Shot with the pop-up flash for fill-in light with remotely triggered Speedlight, and softbox, providing the side lighting. I placed the light source fairly close for a rapid falloff to get the harsh shadows and make sure the smoke trails were beautifully highlighted.
