It's an early start in Gandalf's 'Hats for Wizards' factory.

This was New Years Eve on Bournemouth Beach looking towards Hengistbury Head.

Quite interesting conditions with very lively waves. I liked the way the light sort of splits the image in half with the curvy cloud matching the waters edge.

A happy accident of course, I'm not actually skilled at this!!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

There we were just getting our laughing gear around the last morsels of a very tasty road kill that Mrs P had roasted to perfection when we thought we would tune into the local weather forecast.

On screen came a well known local forecaster who was clearly beside himself with excitement rabbiting on about how to expect such an outstanding sunset this evening. This was going to be the sunset of all sunsets. He put this down to the fact that the county was experiencing high levels of Sahara dust. I had no idea that Sarah had been dusting her property.

Factoring in these people get paid an awful lot of money and have access to the most up to date weather gathering technology what could possibly go wrong.

The car was packed with the camera equipment, Mrs P’s Kindle, a suitable bottle of refreshment and a good evening was going to be had by all.

As we rocked up at Crackpot Haven beach, my good lady spotted a seat where she could read while I got a couple of photos.

As we parked the car it was like someone was switching off the lights and the view out to sea was disappearing quicker than I use to be able to down a pint of beer.

Undeterred I set off down the beach, yep the heavens opened, where was Sarahs dust and the magnificent sunset.

I have been a bit reluctant to post this shot, but as always you have to work with what is in front of you.
Also I felt if said weather person is watching it might shame him into looking for alternative employment.

As this will be my last upload before Christmas, may I take this opportunity to thank you for the kindness, care and heartfelt messages over the last 18 tricky months.

Hope you enjoy my photos as much as I do taking them.
The comments and banter are so appreciated, take care.

After the rains of recent weeks this is another area which is affected, this stream is non existent during the summer and dry spells, this is the first time I have the stream this full. We come this way two or three times a week with our dog I always have my camera with me just in case there is a photo to be had, on that morning there was a great sky. There is only one problem I do not like the power lines, I was in two minds about posting this because of the power lines. The power lines are a factor in the landscape so be it good or bad.

An image captured during our last visit to Bempton cliffs
The Jackdaws were often seen near the cliff edges and seemed undisturbed by our presence.
The pretty pink wild flowers gave a lovely interesting foreground
