My dad is such a goof.

This was the second day of our 4th of July party, some people stayed the night and others left the night before and came back in the afternoon. I only had to go out once to drop Jeremy's friend off at his house so that was good. The rest of the evening I played cards and just hung around. My mom bough me some vodka and I made strawberry daquaries except no one wanted any so I drank the whole blender myself, which probably wasn't a good idea. I got a little buzz going but I didn't feel drunk at all. So I don't know why I woke up with a hangover, because it takes alot more than that to get me drunk. I also threw up this morning which was weird because I never throw up when I drink. The only time I've ever thrown up after drinking was when I got messed up on tequila. I will never drink tequila ever again. That shit fucks me up.

Anyway, my dad and his buddies were setting up the fireworks, he did half of them on the 4th and saved the best ones for the 5th :D I was excited about it all night. In Maryland we weren't allowed to set off fireworks, so we usually went out to the fairgrounds to watch them or into DC at the national monument. Last July was my first time seeing fireworks SO close up, it was amazing, they're so much bigger when you're setting them off right in your own back yard!

Anyway, the guys were setting up the big fireworks and me and my mom were handing out sparklers and kiddie firecrackers to all of the younger kids. Well, a few of them were just too young to be playing with sparklers because they would hold them for a few seconds and drop them on the ground and run away. Well this one poor girl, she was the oldest kid there, probably about 8 or 9 years old, stepped on one of the sparklers that a little boy threw down on the ground and burned her foot. So I took her into the kitchen and took care of her and watched TV with her for a while. The fireworks started going off while I was inside and the girl was doing okay so I went to get up to go outside when another little girl came in, she was covering her ears with her hands and saying that she was scared. It was all down hill from there. Most of the younger kids came inside and wanted to watch Night At The Museum. This whole time I'm missing the super awesome fireworks that my dad spent $700 on. I put the movie in and went to go back outside but the kids started screaming at me to stay and watch the movie. I gave up on seeing the fireworks. I was pretty upset and I still am. I got to see a little of the last bit of the finale but that was it really. It just makes me sad because I don't plan on being here in OK for another year, so this was really my last 4th of July here with my family.

Anyway, my dad's been in a much better mood since Friday which I'm relieved about. He did a really good job organising this and throwing a great party. I didn't know what to do for my 365 so I took a shot with my dad.
