Petroglyphs are reminiscence of old gone times when the antecedents of present Native Americans roamed freely through the North American continent. No one really knows its meaning. Some are quite figurative while others are abstract and quite enigmatic. Finding these is always a special moment. Something that most keep for themselves without sharing the location.
It took me three trips to the Volcanic Tablelands by Bishop (CA) to find this particular display. After my first successful visit I returned to this collection of petroglyphs uncountable times. Each time I felt as being placed back in time. It was as if the breeze was whispering ancient magical words into my ears. This particular evening was the moment were all elements fitted together to provide this transcendent moment of being back in long passed times.
