Looking down on the daily street market on Electric Avenue from the raised platform at Brixton rail station.

Film photography using expired film although the expired film is not responsible for the desaturated look which I did in post.
Pentax MZ50,
Pentax-A SMC 50mm/1.7,
Fujicolor 200 (or it might be Fujifilm Superia 200... can't remember exactly!)

The roof of the bandstand on the Eastbourne seafront. Zoom in to appreciate the textures of that wonderful roof (and the local residents).

Built in 1935.

I really liked the idea of people attaching their love padlocks to this barb wire fence which was a long way from anywhere and could only be reached by walking there. It was unexpected and I have to say quite charming when I saw it.

I've been processing the set of pictures I took on the Dorset coast a few weeks ago, around Lulworth Cove, and I keep coming back to B&W with them. So I might only post monochrome shots from that set. I'm not finished processing yet so there may yet be one or two that work better in colour but this one definitely worked better in B&W.

This great looking old building, a pumping station for the old Victorian built London sewer system, has apparently recently been repurposed and now forms part of the new giant sewer construction project that's currently being built in London. The new project replaces the Victorian "plumbing" that's been in place for 150 years in the capital and no longer has the capacity to efficiently service the ever expanding city of London.

This was actually taken mid-afternoon on a really bright winter's day. The light was as harsh as harsh can be and I worked in Lightroom to convert to B&W and make a more graphic representation of the scene. If you look top left you can just about see the strong sunlight spilling into the frame which I was determined to keep in the picture.

The tiered building furthest away from the camera is a newish building in the Nine Elms area of London, an area that has been completely redeveloped in the last 15 years. I've been trying to get some decent shots of it for a while now. The problem is that it is fairly well enclosed by other buildings, so difficult to get a clear shot of, and also it needs lots of light to get the best out of it, something that has been sadly lacking on my recent visits to the area. So I finally managed it a couple of weeks ago on a photo walk with some fellow photographers from my Camera Club. This was shot with an old vintage Leica zoom lens which in itself needs a lot of light because it's not the fastest but it is really quite sharp and a surprisingly nice lens for shooting architecture.
