Since the House Sparrow is a common bird in some places and it can be seen as a pest, I thought I would give it a special spotlight with this shot. Everyone deserves to be in the limelight now and then. This guy was sunning himself on a string of patio lights by an outside patio at the ski resort. The lights provided a lovely yellow bokeh in the shadows behind him and the sun was giving off a nice warm light on the bird. I was looking for a creative challenge with familiar sights that day. I was pleasantly surprised with how this turned out.
