Bexhill is a seaside town on the south coast of England, in East Sussex, just a little further along the coast from Eastbourne. Back in July I arrived there a few hours early to take some pictures on a day when I was scheduled to play a round of golf at the local course with some friends. I got there at around 7am and the tide was at it's lowest, exposing these seaweed covered rocks. At high tide this is all under water so it's important to know the tide times when coming to a location like Bexhill depending on what one wants to shoot. I personally like the low tide views with all the textures, shapes, and lines that this kind of scene gives.

I came across this what looked like a row of cottages on the beach at Bexhill a month or so ago. They are very attractive brick buildings with all kinds of attractive features.

A Croydon back alley is probably not somewhere that you want to find yourself at 2am but during the day, when I tend to make my forays there, it’s absolutely fine. This image brings back memories for me and in many ways represents where I’ve been photographically over the past 2 or 3 years. This is one of 12 images taken on my first ever roll of film shooting medium format. It was taken on an ancient Yashica C tlr camera, a camera I didn’t even mean to buy. It was part of a job lot that I bought on fleaBay and it sat idle for many months until I screwed up the courage to take it out and shoot it. I’ve since gone on to shoot countless rolls of medium format 120 film but this was the roll that got me hooked. Sadly that old Yashica has been sold on to someone else but I can only hope that the new owner has a similar experience to mine.

A few days ago I met up with some friends of mine visiting from Canada. We decided to rendezvous in front of the main entrance of the Natural History Museum and it got me thinking about what photos I'd taken there over the years. Looking through some older folders last night I realised that I have so many pictures taken inside the NHM that I've never posted, one or two which I actually like :) This shot is of the skeleton of a woolly mammoth that stands in the Hintze Hall, the cavernous and very grand entrance hall that is a visitor's first taste of the museum when they enter through the main entrance doors.
