Early morning fire.
Martin tore down a derelict barn on our property a few months ago and burned the unsalvageable wood yesterday. My idea of capturing Martin & Bosco watching the fire as the sun rose didn't turn out as well as I had imagined. I find shooting Bosco in a low light environment to be very challenging as his black body disappears. Something I need to work on during 2016. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until the end of December 2016 to attempt this shot again (we have an annual giant burning of scrap wood during the Christmas holiday).
Suggestions for improvement welcome. :)

Winter is such a magical season in Alberta.
This photo was shot in our nearly one acre lilac hedge maze that takes up most of our front yard. The previous owner planted a wind break with distinctive flair.

It was such a beautiful day that Bosco and I walked the two mile trip to get the mail. This is a view of the giant slough located behind our mailbox. The slough supports an amazing variety of bird life during the warmer seasons.

The early morning winter light on the Alberta prairie is so beautiful. I didn't get Bosco's ears quite lined up in this shot but I knew if I twitched, he would run to me. Bosco is not the most co-operative model since he likes to remain very close.
