Another shot of a scooter, this one is from the Streets of Hoi An.
I have seen up to 5 people riding on one scooter, in L.A. it is a not unusual to see 1 person in a 7 passenger SUV.

This photo reminds me of an old yearbook photo pose. The first bird to greet me at the Raptor Center in Sitka Alaska this guy was the easiest subject I had in Alaska.

A water droplet on glass pane from a picture frame. Shot with a Venus Laowa 25mm Macro lens on a tripod. This was a test shot. I had the ISO set on auto and exceeded what I normally limit to 3200. I was prepped for a focus stacked but they did not have the same feel as my single test shot. Most of my good photos start as accidents perpetuated by ignorance.
A few specks were photoshopped out, Shot was not cropped.

Taken on a trip January to Key West Florida. At the moment all the Gulls came into frame after a fighter jet flew past at a low altitude startling the birds and myself.
This shot had a lot of help. I wasn't going to post because I was pretty heavy handed in the post processing. I had an unusual issue with most of the photo being underexposed but a few of the Sea gulls' tails were blown out. It took a bit of effort to remedy that. Other than fixing a couple tail feathers, I removed 2 buoys and a couple wings entering the frame. Lots of layers masks and saturation.

Made from a single plume of smoke. Copied and pasted several hundred times. Viewing on a 17 inch screen Photoshop says the viewing size is 2% so at full size this thing is huge. My obsession has shown me that with any Plume of smoke the variations are infinite and I've tried at least half of those.... Or so it seems.
I do change hue and saturation but other than copy, paste, mirroring, overlay and dust removal, nothing is added.
I was up to 25 unique variations with this one but I became tired and impatient.
Sometimes a simple move would take a few minutes to compute. My "not so old" mac laptop runs very slow and gets awfully hot. This prompted me to purchase a new desk top with 32 gigs of ram. Now it will be awhile before I have a break from my real work to try it out.
I have watched and read other peoples smoke tutorials, but according to those tutorials I am doing it wrong.
The lesson I learned "follow the same path get the same results"
Sometimes you just gotta try different things, but in the end I'm an old sound guy still fumbling around with a camera, just a little less these days.
