Taken from the State Street Bridge facing east.
Set the camera up on the bridge and supported it with a hat. I purchased a tripod after that trip.

A childhood friend took my wife and kids on the Chicago River Architecture tour several years back. I had posted a similar shot from the same angle but it has always bothered me that I posted a shot with a clipped antenna.
Taken with a D700, a tank of a camera, huge, totally droppable and immune to harsh elements, a very forgiving camera.
File was very noisy. Out of inexperience and ignorance I had the aperture unnecessarily stopped down and ISO cranked up.
Fortunately I shot in Raw.

It was actually 7:59 according to the clock on the Wrigley Building. Taken from the State Street Bridge facing east.
I originally posted this photo a few years back in B&W. This is the same shot in color but with a slight crop. Fortunately I shot Raw and was able to tweak the white balance. The files from the D700 didn't have a ton of pixels but they are big.
I had the camera on the bridge supported with a hat. I now travel with a tripod.
