One of the many highlights of our trip to Glacier was the scenic lake cruise we took from the Many Glacier Lodge. We started out on Swiftcurrent Lake on the old "Two Guns" boat and then hiked a short quarter mile trail to Josephine Lake to catch the old "Morning Eagle" where we then continued on a short mile hike to Grinnell Lake. As you can see, the glacial waters are crystal clear and so inviting, especially surrounded by all those majestic peaks. Highly recommended excursion if you ever get a chance to visit. Just arrived home last night from our trip to Glacier and the Canadian Rockies....and WOW, what a fabulous trip. Fantastic weather, 360 degrees of majestic scenery, great time spent with several flickr friends, and lots of new adventures and cherished memories. This shot was taken our first morning in Glacier as we enjoyed a sunrise at Apgar, located on the southwest shore of Lake McDonald. As you can well imagine, I have thousands of images to sort through....I will be posting as time allows and catching up with everyone over the next few days. Have a wonderful week, and as always, thanks for all your visits and comments :-)

Early morning light paints Grinnell Point a lovely shade of red, and the mist rising off of Swiftcurrent Lake was an added bonus. If I remember correctly, we were actually on our way somewhere else but when we saw this scene, we just had to stop for a few shots :-) Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend; still sorting through hundreds of images and processing them; should keep me busy for quite some time.
