My first decent butterfly capture, photogaphed at the Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray Summit, MO.....we chose to spend the 4th of July hiking and enjoying nature instead of battling crowds & traffic....many more pics to come from this little adventure.

Okay, I really have to give credit to all those photographers out there who have the patience to capture these little beauties. I never attempted it until our little hike through the Shaw Nature Reserve on the 4th of July and have to say that it is no easy task...reminds me of being in a room full of kids who are ADHD or worse yet, trying to run a group therapy session with a bunch of addicts. It is, however, a great reminder that we all need to slow our pace from time to time and enjoy the simple things in life.
