There were several long stretches of narrows in Willis Creek Canyon. The walls of the canyon stretch to 300 feet high.

We scrambled up to the top of the ridge above the Cosmic Ashtray. From this perspective, the formation looks more like its other nickname: Cosmic Navel. If you zoom in, you can see the person on top of the cone in the middle, people on the left rim and more people approaching. There is a route to climb down into the bowl for those who are young and agile enough to climb out again.

We visited the Cosmic Ashtray, an enormous sandstone bowl filled with coral sand and a big cone of brain rock.

We waded through the shallow water of the Willis Creek Slot Canyon. Hard to believe this little creek carved this beautiful canyon. The walls reach as much as 300 feet in some places.
