i've been furiously knitting up lots of baby things for our first niece, due in april.
this is elizabeth zimmermann's february baby sweater, minus the lace (it would have disappeared in this crazy yarn). i'm making another, with the lace, in a solid color too.

i made the mittens on the right in june. they are MINE, but the girlfriend has been borrowing them on every cold morning. so, i used my other skein of folktale handspun to make her the pair on the left this week. i love those crazy ass stripes.
