3rd November 2019 at the Exchange, Twickenham, Middlesex.

Twick Folk, www.twickfolk.co.uk/.

Country: United States. Style: Americana.

Lineup: "Chip Taylor" (Wes Voight) (v/g), John Platania (g).

Chip Taylor is from Yonkers, NY and now lives in Hartsdale in Westchester county, NY and East Manhattan. He wrote a number of Pop hits in the 1960s before reviving his interest in Country music in 1973 with the album "Chip Taylor's Last Chance". I saw him four times between 1998 and 2009, solo and in duos with Carrie Rodriguez (twice) and with Kendel Carson. The two gigs with Carrie Rodriguez also included John Platania, best known for his spells in Van Morrison's band. The set list included his two biggest hits "Wild Thing" and "Angel of the Morning", several tracks from "Last Chance" (for me his best work) and songs which have recently gained streaming/spotify success.
