4th August (evening) 2019 at Kennaway House (Cellar Bar), Sidmouth Isupporting Tim Eriksen).

Sidmouth Folk Festival (previously called Sidmouth Folk Week).

Country: Britain. Style: Folk-Blues & other styles.

Lineup: Ian A. Anderson (v/g).

Ian A. Anderson was part of the Bristol Country Blues scene of the mid to late 1960s (and has recently moved back to the city). Over the decades he has been a member of many groups: Hot Vultures English Country Blues Band Tiger Moth Orchestre Super Moth. Blue Blokes 3,and the False Beards. As well runnig various record labels and for 40 years editing a magazine (successively called the Southern Rag, Folk Roots and fRoots) which unhappily suspended publication just before this festival. In 2017 he started doing solo gigs again for the first time since 1973. His set drew on various styles including the traditional English ballad " Lord Allenwater" collected by Ralph Vaughan Williams from his great grandmother Emily Agnes Stears in 1905.
