Lunchbreak Opera is an opera company formed in 2017 which stages free productions at its base at St Botolph's, Bishopsgate and offers recitals and performance workshops to offices in the surrounding area. Rather than maintain a permanent company it draws on a variety of young singers. "Bite-Sized Opera" is described as "a whistle-stop tour of the weird and wonderful world of opera in its many eras and forms". There were solo performances (and one duet) including songs by Puccini, Donacetti, Handel, Verdi, Bizet, Gounod, Wagner and Mozart (concluding inevitably with "Nessun Dorma").
